dining by the docks

sooooo I've been pretty M.I.A. from my little corner of the internet. Sorry dearest friends! This whole semester has been a bit of a comedy of errors, with me madly juggling (and occasionally, dropping) the various things on my plate- something that was only exacerbated by finals. Oh well, the clouds has passed, leaving nothing but beautiful, long-awaited summer sun!

 ...speaking of summer sun...

Last summer, my family lived full-time on he beach! We spent many a lazy, sun-drenched evening on our front porch. When not watching the sun set over the waves (rough view, I know), we could often be found at the town's tapas joint, the Galley!

On one such occasion, we dragged Kitty along! My bestie had never tried oysters before, so of course I had to document this momentous occasion!

... she's going to kill me when she sees this, but she's currently in Paris and I plan to thoroughly enjoy my stay of execution!

sun burns + tiny, delicious, and numerous platters of good food = unrestrained glee

speaking of tiny bites of deliciousness- it's been almost a year since this meal and I still get cravings for those lobster bites with wasabi sauce. Just. nom.

i might be a little biased, with my sweet tooth and all, but I'd have to say my favorite parts were the itty bitty desserts! Apple crumble, strawberry shortcake, chocolate cake- they were just so good! Plus, who could resist those teeny mason jars!?

Personally, I think it'd be a little cruel to mention the ocean and then not provide photographs, so here is Scituate harbor docks at sunset! I just love the lighting as brightest day turns into starry nights- it gives pictures a sort of fuzzy magic, don't you think?

what are you most looking forward to during summer? The sun? The food? the company? or something completely different that I didn't cover in this post? :P drop me a line (like an anchor, gettit? I'm reaching, aren't I?) and let me know!

HAPPY SUMMER!
