#HStoHC (part one!)

I think it's become obvious how much I love being part of the Her Campus Blogger Network at this point! We get exposed to some really cool opportunities through Her Campus, like the Microsoft Event I wrote about here (where I won a Surface 2!) and yesterday- the first ever Pre-Collegiette conference!

look at all those goodie bags in the background!

Her Campus has defined "collegiette™" as follows
col•le•giette [kuh-lee-jet] noun
a college woman who is on top of her game – strategically career-minded, distinctly fashionable, socially connected, academically driven, and smartly health-conscious, who endeavors to get the most out of her college experience on every level. (From HC's website)
...so a pre-collegiette is a high school (or younger) girl who exemplifies this definition as well! Tall order, no?
I think they (you?) are up to the challenge!

We checked in at that lovely table (where some Her Campus professionals are taking a selfie in the first pic :p), grabbed our name tags, booklets, goodie bags, and delicious breakfast provided by Maia yogurt (which is pretty much all I want for breakfast this summer fyi!)

So official!

Since there is no "pre" in my collegiette identity, I invited my (almost) high school cousin and my aunt to join  the fun! While she doesn't need to worry about college just yet, her older brother does! Conor's in Ireland right now, otherwise I'd have invited him along too!

There was a lot of cousin love with me and my mini-me over the course of the day! (except when she called me old, that cut deep Em!)

I also found some blogger buds! Ashley blogs at Private School Prepster and Semirah blogs at Sound of Charm! We found some other HCBN ladies later... stay tuned!

After one more pic of the check-in area, it was time to head in to the lecture hall!

...to finally get my selfie with Semirah!

get some tweets on the big screen!

took a cousin selfie!

Tweeting part 2- when I realized they were projecting our tweets up like woahhh
(there were many more- I tweeted a lot but I shan't continue the twitter-ception anymore than I already have!)

Emma's profile- isn't she purtay?

Get-to-know-yous with the awesome Quinn and Michelle!

Then Her Campus Co-founder Windsor gave the welcome address/orientation...

...and sent us off to the rest of our day, which looks a little something like ^this^

A short trek through the rain delivered us to Building G, where all of our panels and workshops were held!

Building G also held these fun things:

The "Social Currency station" is where we cashed in tweets, instagrams, Facebook posts, and brand mentions for raffle tickets! If you follow me on instagram or twitter, you have some idea of how many tickets I snagged!

^some of the prizes ooooh^
Some others included sandals from Jack Rogers, a handful of bags from LeSportsac, and catering cards from Chipotle (ohmygodnom).

Plus, snacks on snacks...

... and SO MUCH NEURO!

So, here's our introduction to the day...and now, yours! Check back throughout the week for recaps of workshops and panels(with some really key information for girls pre, in, or post college!), the Keynote Address with The Handle Bar founder Jessica Bachelor, a college fashion dos and don'ts show, and the raffle recap! I took so many pictures and notes, it'll feel like you were really there! Get excited and HCXO!
