smilingrid: a crazy (af)fair

a crazy (af)fair

Do you remember my promise that campus would be bustling in no time? Well, the prescribed "no time" passed and the activities fair took over campus yesterday! Last year, this incredibly crowded and exciting spectacle was confined to Linden Lane but this year it expanded to include much of middle campus!

As a Freshman, I was intimidated by the sheer mass of people and options and ended up scurrying away and opting out... But no more! I signed up for some clubs and organizations that I'm really pumped about and I can't wait to get involved.

Two of my wonderful combined-suite mates! They were manning tables for two amazing groups. I excitedly signed up for both and used my lack of volume control to tempt unsuspecting peers over to the somewhat hidden row!

My lovely Canadian!

I received a free hug from a member of the Random Acts of Kindness Club! I also signed up, so it should be fun to get to know people who are that friendly and confident!
(I also saw a sign that said "sell your soul here" which was somewhat less enticing...)

Gasson Hall, oh how we love you!

The Make-A-Wish Foundation actually put out a mini wishing well!

You think the fair itself would be the most overwhelming part, but you would be incorrect! It gets even crazier after the fact, when you sift through everything that you accumulated and wade through the emails you receive when a friend thinks it's funny to sign you up for a cappella groups... but that last part could just be freshman me.

Some journals I'm thinking of participating in.

Random freebies!

A couple of rubber bracelets.

And a crazy amount of fliers. Time to dive in, I guess!
