smilingrid: father's day breakfast

father's day breakfast

I awoke this Father's Day morn to the wonderful smell of Dutch Baby cooking in the oven.

So yeah, that sounds weird.

This is the "Dutch Baby" I'm talking about:

A delicious pancake-y breakfast that my mom snuck me the recipe for this morning!

Dutch Baby
4 Eggs
1 Cup of Milk
1 Cup of Flour
Dash of Salt
Dash of Nutmeg

1) Mix together all of the ingredients and set aside
2) Preheat oven to 450 C
3) Add a tablespoon of butter to the pie tin and wait until it is fully melted
4) Take the mixture and pour it into the tin
5) Allow Baby to cook until puffy and golden

And you simply must cut up some fresh fruit to put on top!

I had mine the same way I have most of my breakfast, with a cup of steaming coffee!

We add some syrup, but whipped cream would be a lovely addition as well!
Nothing says "Happy Father's Day!" like an amazing breakfast!
