Librarian Explains Free Apps and Resources: Can Libby Replace Your Audible Subscription?

I have found that even some of the most active library users aren't aware of all the awesome e-resources available to them! In order to help fight this, I'm starting a video series highlighting some of my favorite free apps and the amazing resources they contain! Today's app: Libby!

Libby is an awesome app created by OverDrive that features books, audiobooks, and magazines. All materials are hosted through your public library!

Find the apple and android apps here: https://www.overdrive.com/apps/libby/
You can also access Libby through a web browser here: https://libbyapp.com/welcome

In any of the above situations, Libby will walk you through the setup of your account with your home library and library card number (have it handy!) and other information like your name and email address.

Books mentioned:
Winter Street Series by Elin Hilderbrand
Tuesday Mooney Talks to Ghosts by Kate Racculia
The Westing Game byEllen Raskin
Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil by John Berendt
Yes, Please! by Amy Poehler
City of Girls by Elizabeth Gilbert

This series is going to aim to give you alternatives to streaming apps. By the end, you may be able to replace Audible, Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime Video, Apple Music, and others! Stay tuned for part 2, coming soon.
