Studio Gear Cosmetics Prime Objective Perfecting Face Primer Review

Heads up: This post is sponsored by Studio Gear and BrandBacker. All thoughts, opinions, and photos are my own.

I'm pretty sure I'm never going to run out of positive things to say about Studio Gear Cosmetics. They've done it again: magic-ed a complete cosmetic game changer into existence!

This time around, I tried out their Prime Objective Perfecting Face Primer. Knowing (and loving) Studio Gear, I was expecting it to be amazing, but I don't think anyone could have foreseen exactly how incredible this product is! Seriously, I ended up testing it under foundations that I absolutely hated- ones that broke up across my forehead and around my nose, that made me break out, just all-around icky products- and this primer made me absolutely LOVE every single one of them. Insanity.

The Prime Objective Perfecting Face Primer is a silicone-based primer that evens and smooths the look of your skin while creating the most perfect, long-lasting canvas upon which you can apply the rest of your look.

It also contains the very intense-sounding "sustained release liposome system with retinol" and milk proteins which work together to reduce the appearance of fine lines/wrinkles and protect your skin against harmful environmental factors that are out in abundance during the winter months. It's also Paraben- and Fragrance-free. Basically, as I've said of Studio Gear before, magic.

I've put this product through the ringer! Like I said above, I tried it with my least-favorite foundations (which I've since used regularly because dang they look amazing with this primer underneath!) and I've gone to class then lunch out then shopping then work allll with it on and nothing so much as smudged! That was an extremely full day- over 10 hours!- and Studio Gear's Prime Objective Face Perfecting Primer absolutely slayed any other I've tried to compare it with.

While I have nothing but AH-mazing things to say about the primer itself, I did get a bit of a dud when it comes to the packaging. I love that it's in a pump (so hygienic!) but my pump's head unfortunately sticks a bit. This makes it a little difficult to get the product out, especially if it's after the day's application and my hands are all silicone-y! The ink on the packaging also smudged all over my hands the first few times I used it, which was super alarming/confusing before my first cup of coffee, lemme tell you! However, the pump issue can be fixed with a good yank on the top and the text has stopped smudging, so really, all I can focus on is how beautifully the product works on my skin! Amazing job, as always, Studio Gear!
